TITLE: On the road again
CAPTION: This portrait of Willie Nelson was shot at this year's Farm Aid. What a treat it was to shoot this event, since I was so close to so many of my favorite musicians. White River Ampitheater, Auburn, Washington

TITLE: Space Needle and Raven
CAPTION: This is the first shot taken with my new Canon 10D. I was anxious to test it out, so I thought I might as well take it out to a popular park to get something interesting, but didn't expect this raven to fly into the shot just as I clicked the shutter. Kerry Park Seattle, Washington

TITLE: Mountain Goat
CAPTION: This curious Mt. goat was a little too curious for my comfort, since he would approach us to within just a few feet away and those horns are very sharp. North Cascades Leavenworth, Washington
TECHNICAL: Canon EOS 10D, 28-135mm Canon lens, 8f @ 125th sec, RAW format

TITLE: Ride the tides
CAPTION: One of the first things someone should learn when getting into kayaking is to know your tide tables, especially in AK. Glacier Bay tides are some of the strongest in the world and can have exchanges of over twenty four feet in a 6 hour time period. These tides have taken down many unsuspecting small craft and are not to be taken lightly. These tides also have their advantages as well, since if you plan it right you can always go with the flow. Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

TITLE: Island Ride
CAPTION: Lopez Island (a.k.a. Slowpez) is one the many San Juan Islands that offer scenic bicycling oppotunities that we take advantage of. It's a great place to enjoy a weekend ride, since it has very little traffic and is relatively flat. We often hookup our BOB trailers with all our camping grear and ride right onto the ferries for a nice weekend getaway. Lopez Island, Washington

TITLE: Glacier Bay, AK kayaker
FORMAT: Digital RAW
FILM: Canon EOS 10D, 17-35mm lens IS L Canon lens, 8f @ 60th sec
CAMERA: This shot is from an eight day kayaking trip to McBride Glacier in Glacier Bay, Alaska. Kayaking in Alaska's Glacier Bay is like going back in time, since you can watch the trees get younger and smaller as you proceed up Bay. This is because the glacier has retreated within the last 100 years and they are the first generation of trees to grow there. Alaska is so wild that we spotted a black bear within the first 15 minutes of departure, came face to face with a 2000lb sea lion, watched a herd of moose graze a deserted island, and witnessed Humpback whales leaping out of the water like trout. It was truly an amazing experience. Glacier Bay, Alaska
